Concert on the Beach: Betamaxx & Atomic Groove
On Thursday, July 2, at 6:00 PM, enjoy live music on the beach! This week, we're kicking off the City's 40th Anniversary festivities with 80s music from Betamaxx and Atomic Groove.
The Concerts at the Cove series is designed for audiences of all ages and provides a unique cultural experience for families and friends to enjoy a variety of musical styles in a relaxed outdoor setting by the beach at sunset.
Guests are encouraged to arrive car-free, bring low-back beach chairs, ground covers or picnic blankets. The park fills up quickly, so it is best to arrive early. If you are planning to bring dinner, please remember to shop local!

Celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the City of Solana Beach!
Solana Beach marks a major milestone this year with our 40th anniversary! We're celebrating in a truly special way by moving this concert from its usual park setting down to the beach. With the sound of the waves and ocean views all around, this one-night-only seaside concert creates a unique and memorable experience for the community. We're taking it back to when it all started—the 80s. Headlining the evening is Betamaxx, bringing iconic electrifying 80s hits to the shore, while Atomic Groove kicks things off with an upbeat mix of funk, soul, and crowd-favorite classics. It’s a fitting tribute to four decades of music, now with a spectacular coastal twist.
Visit the City booth to grab a free hotdogs and cupcake, and a free raffle ticket! Limit one per person. Service begins at 6:30.

Walk or Ride Your Bike
Get your bikes out and take advantage of free bike parking, located in the parking lot at Fletcher Cove Park. Not only is this an opportunity to get some exercise, but walking or biking to the beach also helps reduce parking congestion and cut down on greenhouse gas emissions.
Bring a Reusable Water Bottle
Bring you own reusable water bottle and fill it up at our hydration station. Cups will not be provided.
