2026 Annual Coastal Cleanup Day
Join this year’s Coastal Cleanup Day at Fletcher Cove!
Coastal Cleanup Day is a global cleanup effort and San Diego County’s largest single-day environmental cleanup in coordination with the California Coastal Commission and I Love a Clean San Diego. Be a part of the movement and join the effort at Fletcher Cove on Saturday, September 19th by registering here. The event takes place from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM, and volunteers are encouraged to come anytime during the event to help make a difference. Gloves and bags will be provided to dispose of all the litter collected. Cleanup sites will be hosted all around the County!
A key part of the success of Coastal Cleanup Day relies on volunteers recording the types of litter they clean up. This detailed data gives the City, I Love a Clean San Diego, and the Coastal Commission a snapshot of what is affecting the health of our environment to help shape change. Data collected from this event feeds into the world’s largest database on marine debris.
Be a part of the change! Join this global cleanup effort on Saturday, September 19th to protect our region’s natural environment, waterways, and ocean.
