Meet Corey, the City's brand-new organics waste mascot designed to make composting and food waste reduction fun and easy to understand.
Corey was created in partnership with Girl Scout Troop 3844, who joined the City at the Solana Beach Farmer's Market last weekend to officially introduce our newest sustainability ambassador. Here, we invited the community to help bring her to life by choosing her name. After 137 votes, Corey came out on top, above Sol and Manny!
This summer, Corey will be sharing her favorite fun facts and tips on food waste prevention and organics recycling. Make sure to keep your eye out on the City's social media for more!
