It's Almost Heat Pump Week!

Why Heat Pumps?
Heat pumps are the most efficient way to heat and cool your home and water. Not only are they 3x more efficient than traditional heating and cooling systems, they lower your utility bill, increase home safety, and reduce carbon emissions.  

To support heat pumps as the cornerstone of the clean energy future, Governor Gavin Newsom has set a goal of installing 6 million of them in California by 2030. To help accelerate adoption and meet that goal, the California Heat Pump Partnership (CAHPP) is hosting Heat Pump Week on April 11-19, 2026.

What is Heat Pump Week?
Heat Pump Week is a statewide activation including marquee events, contractor celebrations, and grass roots enthusiasm all aimed at raising awareness of heat pumps. The wave of activity will showcase California’s leadership and momentum in building the market for heat pumps.

This year, the City of Solana Beach will be hosting a booth at the Solana Beach Farmers Market to talk all about heat pumps and our Heat Pump Water Heater Rebate Program, which will be available until June 30th. Stop by on Sunday, April 12th between 12-4 PM to chat with City staff and learn more.
