Solana Beach Community Connections Lecture: Pathways to U.S. Citizenship

Date: Nov 10 , 2026
Time: 6:00 pm

Becoming a U.S. citizen is a journey with several possible pathways, each with its own requirements, timelines, and challenges. Join Solana Beach Community Connections Speaker Series on Tuesday, November 10 at 6:00 PM to explore those pathways and help make the process of navigating toward U.S. citizenship clearer and easier to understand. The discussion will take place at La Colonia Park’s Community Center, located at 715 Valley Avenue, Solana Beach 92075.

Sonya Williams, a Solana Beach resident and the Executive Director of Pathways to Citizenship, will discuss how hardworking immigrant families are often fearful of the immigration system and lack trust in others to provide help. Pathways, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2013, provides a caring and dedicated team of immigration law attorneys and Department of Justice accredited representatives, assisting immigrants during a very challenging time. She will explain how families get support and guidance to understand the law, follow it and keep families together.

Pathways to Citizenship has a remarkable success rate in helping immigrants move forward toward permanent status and citizenship and Ms. Williams will describe the programs that the nonprofit has developed to aid immigrants.

This event is co-sponsored by Solana Beach Community Connections (SBCC) and the City of Solana Beach Parks and Recreation Department. The event is free and open to the public.

Solana Beach Community Connection is a volunteer-driven, nonprofit organization providing information, services, and resources to Solana Beach seniors, helping them to age independently in place.
