Music has the power to unite, inspire, and transcend boundaries. Come and meet Dr. Fiona Chatwin, Executive and Artistic Director of Villa Musica as she aims to make that power accessible to everyone. This engaging talk will occur on Tuesday, July 14 at 6:00 PM at the La Colonia Community Center. The Center is located at 715 Valley Avenue, Solana Beach.

Bringing together fresh perspectives on creativity, inclusion, and the universal language of music, Dr. Chatwin will explore how music can be experienced, created, and shared by people of all backgrounds and abilities. Discover how innovation and community are reshaping the musical landscape, ensuring that no one is left behind.

Dr. Fiona Chatwin completed a Doctor of Musical Arts from UCSD with a goal of achieving a joint career as both teacher and performer. With more than twenty-five years’ experience as a teacher of voice both here in San Diego and in Melbourne Australia (where she is from), Chatwin has worked with students of all ages, backgrounds and vocal disciplines. She has worked at both Community College and University levels designing curriculum for programs that range from music theory to opera, vocal music of the 20th century to improvisation. In 2005, she founded Villa Musica – San Diego’s Community Music Center.
