City Hall Gallery Opening Reception: "Beneath the Palms"
The Solana Beach Public Arts Commission proudly presents Beneath the Palms, a collection of art from Stephanie Missan, on view now until December 15th.
"Beneath the Palms" features oil and gouache paintings that capture the botanical light and shape of palm trees in an impressionist inspired style. The paintings showcase impasto brushstrokes and use soft, pastel colors to illustrate the warm luminosity of Southern California. Each painting celebrates the organic form and abstract shapes found in nature and in the landscape. Color and shadows serve as inspiration and showcase how the environment around us is ever-changing.
