San Diego Climate Week 2026

It's San Diego Climate Week!

San Diego Climate Week (SDCW) is an annual initiative on October 1-8 that creates space for community-centered collaboration, education, and climate action, amplifying local solutions and advancing climate justice. Starting this Thursday, a variety of sustainability-related events are happening all around San Diego County, including North County. Click here for the list of upcoming events to learn more and register.

This year, the City of Solana Beach's sustainability team will be participating in a few events to highlight City sustainability initiatives and connect with the community!

Friday, October 2 | Resilience in Action: From Climate Plans to Local Action

What does climate action look like in North County SD? This event brings together local Climate Action Plan leaders from Carlsbad, Vista, Encinitas, and our very own Solana Beach Sustainability Program Manager, Nicole Grucky, to share how their cities are turning ambitious climate goals into meaningful local progress. Hear directly from city leaders, learn about Solatube’s journey to becoming a certified green business, and go behind the scenes with a guided tour of its Vista facility. Join to connect with our local leaders, businesses, and community members who are working toward a more resilient, sustainable San Diego region.

When? Friday, October 2, 9:30 AM - 1:30 PM

Where? Solatube International, Inc. at 2210 Oak Ridge Way, Vista, CA 92081
