Solana Beach Community Connections Lecture: Protection from Respiratory Viruses

As healthcare authorities are reporting an increase in seasonal respiratory illnesses, it's important to protect yourself and your families from viruses that cause respiratory illness. At 6:00 PM on Tuesday, August 11, Dr. Steve Kuriyama will discuss how to protect yourself from these illnesses. The talk will take place at La Colonia Community Center, located at 715 Valley Avenue in Solana Beach.

Dr. Kuriyama will talk about some of the most common viruses and the illnesses that they cause. He will describe preventative measures to decrease the risk of infection and some new treatments that can decrease the duration and severity of infection.

Dr. Kuriyama is an Infectious Disease specialist and Internist with over four decades of medical experience. He received a medical degree from the University of California San Diego (UCSD) and has been in practice here in North Counter since 1988.
